160 new social and affordable housing units in Laval!
In the current context of shortage, each new dwelling makes a difference for people waiting for social and affordable housing. The OMH de Laval is therefore proud to make available one hundred and sixty (160) new units in the heart of the Chomedey neighborhood in Laval!
In order to meet the diversity of needs, we have planned:
- A “smoke-free” building
- Seventy (70) units of three (3) bedrooms or more to accommodate large families
- Eleven (11) units adapted for families with at least one member with reduced mobility and possible adaptability of the majority of the other units
The inauguration of the new buildings took place on July 7 in the presence of Mrs. Isabelle Pépin, general manager of the OMH of Laval, of Mrs. Flavia Alexandra Nova, municipal councilor and vice-president of the CA of the OMH of Laval, Mr. Jean-Pascal Bernier, Vice-President of the SHQ and Mr. Christopher Skeete, MNA for Sainte-Rose. Everyone was able to see the quality of the accommodation offered.
The realization of such a project is the sum of the efforts of many collaborators without whom nothing would be possible! Thank you to Ville de Laval, Société d’habitation du Québec, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Bâtir son quartier for the work of the past few years!
