OMH de Laval

For a third year, workers from the housing search assistance service (SARL) of the OHM Laval have accompanied more than two hundred (200) Laval households in their search for a new roof, in a serious situation of housing shortage.

For the period from June 29 to July 3 only, half a dozen households were relocated in extremis with the contribution of the SARL team which accompanied them "in the field" in their search for housing and in obtaining subsidies under the emergency rent supplement program (PSLU) of the Société d'habitation du Québec.

Thanks also to close collaboration with the Social Emergency Division of the Laval police department, none of the households that have requested assistance from the SARL are currently on the street!

The service is available year-round for households or single people who are experiencing a situation that may lead them to homelessness or whose housing no longer meets their needs, forcing them to seek new housing on the private market.

For the exclusive use of Laval citizens, the level of support offered is determined according to the situation of the household and according to the established eligibility criteria.
