Director of a family community organization and director of a housing NPO, Lyne Sylvain holds a master's degree in management and a bachelor's degree in industrial relations. She has more than thirty years of practice in administration, organizational development, training, and teaching within various governmental, university, college, and community organizations. Ms. Sylvain has also held several positions as administrator on boards of directors, school commissioner and chair of the audit committee of the Commission scolaire de Laval. She is still involved as a director representing the community sector on the board of directors of the Regroupement lavallois pour la réussite éducative.

For Ms. Sylvain, being able to find suitable housing certainly contributes to people's quality of life and allows them to live in dignity. It is to ensure representation of the community and civil society that she wishes to share with the Office her years of experience in social and affordable housing.
